Changes....

Tony's been out of a job for three months. We've managed to scrape by, but the unemployment benefits will run out eventually. Fortunately in the past week, he's gotten three offers. One is a freenlance job, another is a possible contract-to-hire, the other is a very good position in a government contract job in Maryland.

The latter would most likely be the best, as Tony would have a good salary (better than when working for that POS Acxiom). The interview yesterday went very well, so our hopes are high. The only concern is, well, we'd have to move. And not any small distance either, but all the way over to the east coast. I've lived in Arkansas practically all my life, so such a move is daunting. Not to mention I don't want to leave our house, our first, in which we've only lived barely a year. And we'd be sharing space with our friend Marty (who landed the interview for Tony), so we wouldn't be able to have our cats until we got our own place. Finally, we'd be far away from our families, which was something Tony really wants to avoid if he can.

So we could be set up in an excellent position, but we'd have to move away from everything we know. I'm torn because this job would be good for Kim and us in the long run, but I don't want to move from my house, don't want to be separated from my cats, and distanced from family.

Torn....
